Chocolate Peppermint Mousse
Chocolate Peppermint Mousse is a decadent dessert that's sure to please. Rich and creamy with a hint of peppermint, it’s served chilled and makes for a refreshing end to any holiday feast.

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 ounces dark chocolate chopped
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Whipped cream and crushed candy canes for garnish
In a saucepan, heat half the cream until hot but not boiling.
Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate until melted.
Whip the remaining cream with sugar and peppermint extract to soft peaks.
Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
Spoon into serving dishes and chill for at least 2 hours.
Garnish with whipped cream and crushed candy canes before serving
