INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Prepare the Wings
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Place a wire rack on top if using.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them crisp up during baking.
Step 2: Season the Wings
- In a large mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Toss thoroughly until the wings are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
Step 3: Bake the Wings
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet or wire rack.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2–3 minutes at the end, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
- Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve hot with celery sticks and a side of ranch or blue cheese dip if desired.
TIPS:
- For even crispier wings, let them air-dry in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours before baking.
- Adjust the cayenne pepper based on your heat preference.
- These wings can also be cooked in an air fryer at 380°F for 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
