- 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Prepare the Smoker
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Add pre-soaked wood chips to the smoker box or directly to the coals according to your smoker’s instructions.
- Allow the smoker to reach a steady temperature before adding the sweet potatoes.
Step 2: Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
- Pat the sweet potatoes dry and pierce each one several times with a fork.
- In a mixing bowl, drizzle the sweet potatoes with olive oil.

Step 3: Smoke the Sweet Potatoes
- Place the sweet potatoes directly on the smoker grates.
- Close the lid and smoke for 45–60 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are fork-tender.

- Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Slice open, fluff the interior with a fork, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy their naturally sweet and smoky flavor.
TIPS:
- For a sweet twist, add a light drizzle of maple syrup or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
- If you prefer a savory profile, top with Greek yogurt, chives, or crumbled feta cheese.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and repurposed in salads, grain bowls, or mashed for meal prep.
