How many times have you tried to cook your salmon perfectly, but it didn’t result well as the one you eat at the restaurant?
Well, in today’s guide, you’ll be learning how to do that.
You’ll discover how restaurants cook their salmon, and it will be easy to do at home, too.
The ingredients for this dish are:
- 2 Salmon fillets (5 oz or 120 gr. Each)
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 1 Red Chili Pepper
- Salt and Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp of Olive Oil
- 1 Baking Sheet
- 1 Oven-proof pan (Skillet)
- 1 Rosemary Branch
Here are the steps needed to grill the salmon in the oven:
At first, we need to start by scoring the salmon fillet, so check the skin side.
Remove the scales if there are some, then wash the fillet with cold water.
Dry it well-using paper tissue, and using a knife, make a thin cut diagonally on the skin.
Rub it with a half garlic clove and then lay it on the baking sheet.
Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper, then pour a tablespoon of olive oil on it.
Now the fish is ready to be seared in our skillet.
Put the skillet over high heat and when it is very hot, toss the salmon fillet in the pan, on the skin side.
Please make sure the whole fillet is oiled, so it will not stick to the pan. Add the rosemary branch and the sliced red chili pepper.
Let it sear quickly for about 30 seconds, then pick the pan and place it in a preheated oven at 190°C for 7 minutes.
Serve after letting the fish rest 20 seconds outside the oven, garnished and seasoned with a sauce of your choice.
I personally love serving salmon with sauteéd tomatoes.
