6 Pulled Pork Recipes For BBQ Nights

Classic BBQ Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp BBQ rub
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup apple juice or broth
Slider buns or sandwich buns for serving

Instructions
Rub pork with olive oil, BBQ rub, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cook low and slow on the smoker, grill, oven, or slow cooker until tender.
Shred the pork with two forks.
Mix with BBQ sauce and a splash of apple juice or broth.
Serve on buns with coleslaw or pickles.

Carolina Mustard Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tbsp BBQ rub
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp honey
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
Rub pork with yellow mustard and BBQ rub.
Cook low and slow until the pork is tender enough to shred.
Mix mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
Shred the pork and toss with the Carolina mustard sauce.
Serve on buns with slaw or pickles.

Honey Bourbon Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
2 tbsp BBQ rub
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp bourbon
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup apple juice or broth
Buns for serving

Instructions
Season pork generously with BBQ rub.
Cook low and slow until tender and easy to shred.
Mix BBQ sauce, honey, bourbon, brown sugar, and apple juice.
Shred pork and toss with the honey bourbon sauce.
Serve warm on buns or over baked potatoes.

Spicy Chipotle Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
2 tbsp BBQ rub
1 cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp chopped chipotle peppers in adobo
1 tbsp adobo sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup broth or apple juice
Pickled onions or jalapeños for serving

Instructions
Season pork with BBQ rub.
Cook low and slow until tender.
Mix BBQ sauce, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, brown sugar, and broth.
Shred pork and toss with the spicy chipotle BBQ sauce.
Serve with pickled onions, jalapeños, or coleslaw.

Apple Cider Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
2 tbsp BBQ rub
1 cup apple cider
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
Buns for serving

Instructions
Rub pork with BBQ rub and garlic powder.
Cook low and slow with apple cider until tender.
Shred the pork and keep some of the cooking juices.
Mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and a little cider juice.
Toss with shredded pork and serve warm.

Dr Pepper BBQ Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
2 tbsp BBQ rub
1 can Dr Pepper
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Buns for serving

Instructions
Place sliced onion under the pork.
Season pork with BBQ rub, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook low and slow with Dr Pepper until tender.
Shred the pork and discard excess fat.
Mix with BBQ sauce and serve on buns with pickles or slaw.
